Anti-corruption policy revealed in orde fight bribery-NiMet

Prof.Charles Anosike who is the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency has spoken to staff to build a workplace that encourages ethical conduct.

He made this known on Tuesday while he spoke at the launch of NiMet’s Anti-corruption and Bribery Policy and code of Ethics in Abuja, he spoke on the importance of ethics, integrity, accountability and transparency which are all part of building the success of an organisation.

He said, “Upholding these values will build trust with our clients and stakeholders, enabling NiMet to fulfil its mandate of contributing to national socio-economic development and safety of lives and property.”

He spoke about NiMet’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption, stressing the Policy’s role in fostering transparency and accountability in all their operations.

He encouraged all staff to abide strictly to the NiMet code of ethics and Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy.

 Dr. Musa Aliyu, SAN,the Chairman of ICPC, represented by Charles Nwosu, applaused NiMet for its excellent initiative.

He stated that, “We are impressed with the commitment shown by NiMet in launching these documents. We appreciate Prof. Anosike and NiMet’s leadership in joining hands with us in the national fight against corruption.

“Our impressions will be conveyed to the ICPC Chairman and ultimately to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, affirming NiMet’s alignment with national anti-corruption efforts.”
