Donald Trump boasts of how easy it will be to beat Harris in the election.

Former US president Donald Trump said during an interview session that his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris would be “easier” to beat in November’s election than President Joe Biden who just stepped down from running for re-election.

“She’s far more radical than he is… So I think she should be easier than Biden, because he was slightly more mainstream, but not much,” Trump said this to his interviewers.

Kamala Harris, currently the Vice President of the United States, has become the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election following President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election.

Harris, who has been in the role of Vice President since 2021, previously served as a U.S. Senator from California and as the state’s Attorney General.

Her campaign has seen a surge in fundraising, with significant contributions reported shortly after Biden’s announcement. This financial boost suggests strong initial support, although she faces a challenging landscape.

Polls indicate mixed perceptions among voters: while she garners strong support from core Democratic constituencies, including Black voters and those concerned with reproductive rights, she struggles with broader voter skepticism about her leadership and trustworthiness.

Harris’s policy positions and political experience reflect her focus on issues such as healthcare, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ rights. However, she faces criticism on her handling of immigration and foreign policy. As Vice President, she has also taken a prominent role in defending abortion rights and has represented the administration at key international summits.

Her potential vice-presidential picks are being closely watched, with names like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly being considered, both of whom are seen as pro-business and could help balance the ticket.

Overall, while Harris’s candidacy has the potential to energize certain voter bases, she will need to address the doubts and negative perceptions held by a significant portion of the electorate to secure a victory in the 2024 election.
