Kamala Harris , the new Democratic party candidate in place of Biden.

Kamala Harris is now the new Democratic US Presidential nominee who will be running against Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

After Joe Biden has ended his re-election campaign he had given credence to his Vice- President to fully take over the situation and run against Donald Trump the Republican candidate.

Her Nomination has been opposed by many Democrats who have confirmed that she is the first Black and South Asian woman to ever secure a major party nomination.

She single handedly won the support of over 99 percent of the delegates  who signed the petition and only she qualified for the threshold of over 300 signatures.

“Our delegates have an important responsibility — and opportunity — in the days ahead to cast their history-making ballots for Vice President Harris, ensuring that she will be on the ballot in every state this November,” said Jaime Harrison , DNC chairperson.

Trump was thrown off course during the announcement of Harris as the Democratic nominee.

Harris, in  response to Trump, said  that the “American people deserve better… a leader who understands that our differences do not divide us, they are an essential source of our strength.”
