Kaduna State Adjusts Curfew Hours Amidst Improved Security

The Kaduna State Government has announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew initially imposed across various parts of the state. This adjustment comes after a noticeable improvement in the security situation, according to a statement from the state authorities.

The curfew, which was enforced due to rising tensions and unrest in parts of the state, will now allow residents to move freely during certain hours of the day. While details of the new curfew hours have not been fully disclosed, the government emphasized that the decision was made in response to positive feedback from security agencies and stakeholders who have been working tirelessly to restore peace and order.

Governor Uba Sani, in a recent briefing, expressed appreciation for the cooperation of the citizens during the curfew period. He also assured residents that the state government remains committed to ensuring their safety and well-being. “The decision to relax the curfew was taken after thorough consultations with security agencies and community leaders. We are cautiously optimistic that the worst is behind us, but we urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities,” Governor Sani stated.

The government has also reiterated that while the curfew has been relaxed, security personnel will continue to maintain a strong presence in the affected areas to prevent any resurgence of violence. The situation will be closely monitored, and further adjustments to the curfew may be made based on the evolving security landscape.

Residents are advised to adhere strictly to the new curfew hours and cooperate with law enforcement to ensure sustained peace in the state.
