Dangote refinery reject claims of reducing fuel prices to N600 per liter.

On Tuesday, The management of Dangote Refinery has informed the general public that it has not fix the official price of the Dangote Petrol and has earned marketers to stop spreading fake information. Anthony Chiejina, the Chief Branding and communication officer said Dangote refinery has not made any decisions to sell it’s petrol at the price of N600 per liter. He reacted to this rumors and warned marketers to stop spreading fake informationm.

 He said, “Our attention has been drawn to headlines announcing “Marketers Project N600/litre for Dangote Petrol”.

“We would like to clarify that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria is not our business partner yet. We have never discussed the price of Premium Motor Spirit with them, and they have no mandate or authority to speak for us, either for good or with the hidden transcript “.

Hammed Fasola IPMAN’s National President, during an interview disclosed that it will take a $20bn refinery to bring down the cost of fuel in Nigeria and such refinery must be supported by it’s crude oil suppliers. Giving Nigerians the idea that only  Dangote Refinery can help the petrol situation of Nigerians. According to IPMAN, the sell their crude oil to buyers at the rate of N570 pre litre. 

But, Dangote refinery came out to clarify that they have no business with IPMAN and the general public should debunk such claims.

“We urge the public to desist from such speculative announcements. We have our official channels through which we make our views known to our stakeholders.”
