As of March 10, 2025, several African countries are currently experiencing active armed conflicts that you probably didn’t know about, including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan.

Here’s a more detailed look at some of these conflicts:
Burkina Faso:
