For people who are contemplating relocation or a change of environment, these ten cities are places where you’re likely going to encounter a billionaire.
In Forbes’s 2024 ranking, only 59 of the primary residences out of 2,781 could be determined. But here are ten cities with a high number of billionaires as of March 2024.
- San Francisco
San Francisco has recorded a total of 50 billionaires, the total number of the city’s net worth is $185 billion led by Facebook and Asana co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, San Francisco’s richest resident, with a staggering $18.3 billion fortune.
- Singapore
Singapore has a total of 52 billionaires residing in it, with a net gain of 6 new individuals. The city has a combined net worth of $156 billion, with Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin leading the pack with a staggering $28 billion fortune.
- Los Angeles
Los Angeles is proudly one of the ten cities where you can meet billionaires residing in it. Los Angeles has a total of 53 billionaires and a combined net worth of $222 billion. John Tu, president of Kingston Technology Corporation, is leading the pack with a $13.6 billion fortune.
- Shanghai
Shanghai has only 11 billionaire individuals. It used to be one of the powerhouses for billionaires’ growth, but it has witnessed a major setback in its billionaire population.
- London
London is one of the ten cities where you can meet billionaires in 2024. Its list of billionaires is stagnant, with no new billionaires joining the list. The total number of billionaires in London is 62. Only one individual has lost money, constantly making the city return to sixth position. The city has a total net worth of $326 billion.
- Beijing
Beijing will be among the ten cities with billionaires in 2024. Its billionaires community has not increased recently, and it has maintained a total of 63 billionaires with a combined net worth of $211 billion, a 14% decrease from last year. Two new billionaires emerged in the city: Dai Wenyuan, founder of AI software company 4Paradigm, and Zheng Fan, independent director at Li Auto, an electric vehicle manufacturer, despite the decrease.
- Mumbai
Mumbai is also among the ten cities with billionaires residing in it. Mumbai’s billionaires’ net worth has increased recently, with 13 new billionaires joining the list, bringing the total to 69 billionaires residing in Mumbai. The city has a combined net worth of $379 billion, up from $100 billion previously.

On the list of the ten cities with billionaires, Moscow’s billionaire community is growing rapidly. Twelve new billionaires joined the list, bringing the number of billionaires living in the City to 74. The city’s billionaires’ net worth has increased from $50 billion to $378 billion.
2. Hong Kong
In the list of ten cities with billionaires, Hong Kong has a total of 74 billionaires residing in it. With a combined billionaire net worth of $326 billion. The richest resident in Hong Kong is Li Ka-shing, with a net worth of $37.3 billion.
- New York City
New City is proudly among the ten cities where you can find billionaires in 2024. It has retained its place as the number one place where most billionaires reside, with 110 individuals holding a combined net worth of $694 billion. The city has received 9 new billionaires who have built fortunes in fragrance and cloud security, Jean Madar and Assaf Rappaport.
