Boeing 737 plane Skids Off the Runway At Senegal Airport, injuring 10 people.

A Boeing 737 plane has been reported to have skidded off its runway at the Senegal Airport. The country’s transport minister, Malick Ndiaye, revealed to reporters that the aircraft was operated by Transair, but it is a Senegal Flight. 

About 10 people were injured on Wednesday when a Boeing 737 plane carrying 85 people skidded off a runway at the airport in Dakar, Senegal’s capital.

The Minister also stated that the plane was on its way to Bamako late Wednesday with two pilots, four cabin crew members,  79 Passengers, and 85 people.

The Minister confirmed that the injured persons were taken to the hospital, and the others were taken to the hotel to rest.

The photos of the damaged plane were published by the Aviation Safety Network, which tracked the airline accident. The damaged plane was in a grassy field surrounded by fire suppressant foam, which was posted on Twitter X.

Based on the information shown in the photographs, the wings of the airline were damaged, and one of the engines appears to have broken.

In one of the reports, the family of the longtime Nigerian diplomat who was killed in the 2019 crash of a Boeing 737 Max in Ethiopia has also joined against the company in US federal court.

Boeing 737 was accused by the lawyers of Abiodun Bashua of negligence in the development of the Max.

The Max, operated by Ethiopian Airlines, crashed shortly after it took off from Addis Ababa in 2019. It had Abiodun Bashua in it, and he was also among the 157 people who were killed in the plane crash. 

Reports have it that the 67-year-old Bashua had connections to many foreign service jobs in Nigeria. He had also been working with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa for over 40 years in his career before he died in the plane crash five years ago.
