NYSC shuts down Batch B registration portals

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has shut down  the registration portal for Batch B  corps members due  to a technical glitch.

The director of information and public relations, Eddy Mega on Tuesday said the portal was closed after a large number of registration required for the incoming batch was done.

Eddy Megwa tendered apologizes to the affected corp members who were unable to register before the portal was closed but reassured that the Portal will be fix and opened for batch  B stream ll

Hence, NYSC has countered all the  fake online press release claiming that the NYSC registration deadline has been extended.

Warning that anyone caught in the act of circulating fake information about NYSC operation will be arrested and prosecuted by the law.

Megwa said, “The management of NYSC wishes to inform prospective corps members that the registration portal was shut down due to a glitch that occurred on Saturday, 8th June 2024.

“Registration by prospective corps members continued until the maximum number required for the incoming batch was reached, in line with the carrying capacity of the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide.

“The portal was subsequently shut down accordingly.

“We apologize to prospective corps members who could not register before the portal was shut down.

“The portal will reopen for 2024 Batch B Stream II on a date to be announced later.

“Criminally-minded individuals who have the penchant for issuing fake press releases on NYSC operations are warned to desist forthwith, as anyone caught will be handed over to law enforcement agents for prosecution.

“Online reporters and bloggers are please expected to confirm the authenticity of issues with NYSC before publishing.”
