The shooter of former president Trump has been identified.

Former president Donald Trump’s life was threatened on the 13th of July, 2024. During his Pennsylvania, campaign, the U.S. government authorities found the shooter to be Thomas Crooks a 20-year-old.

“Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, is the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump on July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania,” USA  reported. 

 “This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is encouraged to submit photos or videos online.”

During his campaign at Pennsylvania, the republican candidate, former president Donald Trump whose running for the upcoming November 5, 2024 presidential election was shot and he sustained an injury before that Secret Service agents came to rush him to the SUV 

The shooter was later killed alongside a bystander and some spectators were injured.

The Sercet Service said “fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside the rally” before being “neutralised” by their agents.

“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realised then what was happening,” Trump said.

After the death of the shooter, the special agent said Thomas Crooks had no identification on him but a DNA scan was done on him to ascertain who he was.

 The shooter’s father, Matthew Crooks, said he didn’t understand “what the hell is going on” so he will talk to the police. “I’ll wait until I talk to law enforcement before speaking about my son.”
