You Can Now Access ChatGPT Without Sign-Ups According To OpenAI

OpenAI, a San Francisco-based company, has made a big announcement. Beginning Monday, April 1st, 2024, all users will be able to access ChatGPT without sign-ups. This agenda aims to democratise quick access to AI and make it more accessible to those eager to use its capabilities.

ChatGPT has been credited with organizing the GenAI trend since late 2022. It has simulated all human conversations and helps perform different tasks, including crafting poems, organizing lengthy texts, and generating ideas for themed parties.

OpenAI came out stating its intention to finally introduce this feature that allows users to access ChatGPT without sign-ups, laying more emphasis on inclusivity in all AI exploration. Not minding its previous experience of a slowdown in growth since it started out in May 2023, where it earned over 1.8 billion web visits, reported to Similar Web, it has been proved that ChatGPT remains very popular.

To make sure that there’s responsible usage of the GENAI application, OpenAI employed additional content to safeguards for all users who are  accessing ChatGPT without having registration, reaching to a broader spectrum of categories, however, not all specific categories have not been disclosed.

Additionally, concerning the free version of ChatGPT, which operates offline, OpenAI has offered to pay for all versions designed for individuals, enterprises and teams.

The OpenAI company has also clarified that the reason it may leverage on user-provided content is to help enhance its large-language models, a community of different language users, with this feature, different users are left with the option to either opt out of this feature or stay, while utilizing all it’s features.

This recent development by Open AI company is followed by Elon Musk’s current lawsuit filed against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, accusing them of deviating from their original start up mission of developing AI to help better the lives of humanity, rather than profit.
